The ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 is set to bring the biggest ODI cricket tournament back to Africa, with South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia jointly hosting the 14th edition of the men’s Cricket World Cup. The tournament will feature 14 teams, 57 matches and 12 venues, with matches scheduled from 2 October to 21 November 2027.

The 2027 World Cup will be particularly special because the men’s ODI World Cup is returning to Africa for the first time since 2003. Namibia will also host matches at a senior men’s Cricket World Cup for the first time.
The tournament will use a new three-stage competition format, beginning with a Super Series before the main Group Stage and Super 7 phase. The top teams will then battle through the semi-finals for a place in the World Cup final at the iconic Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
